Another gorgeous day, with fun things to do.
Unfortunately we missed the May Day parade despit
e biking to Bloomington Ave. When we got there B was an inconsiderate jerk, so I got pissed & turned right around to bike back up the Greenway to our second destination. Without B, who stayed at Bloomington for I don't know how long, then headed home. I called him before he reached Franklin & told him to get his ass to Uptown, where I was waiting for him before going to the Handmaidens Spring Fling at the VFW. I had my say about the situation then got over it . We perused the show & said hi to my TeamMN ladies, then spent an interminable amount of time trying to decide on someplace to eat. All we knew was that we didn't want to head away from home, we wanted to eat outside, and I wanted a sandwich. We decided on Bad Waitress, which we'd actually never eaten at before despit
e it being so close to home, because once B hears/reads a negative review it gets stuck in his craw & he's convinced the thing is awful. He's changed his mind about this thing, this time. Our sandwiches were awesome & I definitely want to go back. I'd like it more if it were about $2 cheaper, though.
We went home after that late lunch & have both felt like collapsing since. It was windy today & riding against that really sucks, especially when you're biking angry or biking further than you'd planned because you had to backtrack.
Sigh. It was a great day regardless. We look forward to relaxing with new eps of King Of The Hill & This American Life.
(Normally I'd save so much blather for my LJ. Oops!)

This was our night ride to see Billy Bragg at the Cedar. We were supposed to be on the guest list, but after perusing it for ourselves we were nowhere to be seen. Bummer. The show was sold out & the tickets were $25 anyhow. So we went to the Hex to see Building Better Bombs instead. However, we just ended up having a couple of beers & leaving before the first band went on. As it turned out there were going to be 6 bands or something & we just weren't up to it (though I have since learned that show is tonight; last night was other bands). B was hungry so we went to Denny's, then took the Greenway home in the dark. We still don't have lights for our bikes
but we managed to avoid getting flattened in the street. Yay us.
e the guest list snafu we had a good evening out together.
